Rob and Elizabeth chose a Detroit Athletic Club Wedding, one of the most iconic spaces in Downtown Detroit. The Detroit Athletic Club (DAC )is a stunning venue with so many options and beautiful backgrounds to set any wedding scene. Both of them got ready on different levels of the DAC while having their first look on the grand staircase. It gave me total movie vibes.
Next, we headed to the Detroit Institute of the Arts (DIA) to take wedding party photos and family photos. After, we took a special trip to Campus Martius where they had a champagne toast to honor Rob’s dad who recently passed away. It was a special touch and the perfect way to remember him.
Then, we headed back to the Detroit Athletic Club where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception took place. Elizabeth looked so chic walking down the aisle surrounded by their friends and family. The cocktail hour was romantic and intimate. The tone was set thanks to Kalkaska String Quartet. Then the Bagpiper, Donald Ross, sounded and gave the signal for everyone to head to the reception area.
Toasts were made, dinner was served then the dancing began. We even headed up to the 7th floor terrace for some sunset photos and to take a look of the city. An outfit change for Elizabeth, she came back to a dance floor that was grooving thanks to the Blue Water Kings Band. The couple and their guests ended their night bowling in the basement. It was really THE BEST day!
Everything about the wedding was an absolute dream. This Detroit Athletic Club Wedding was classic, elegant, beautiful and sentimental. Everything you want in a wedding. Thank you for choosing me to be apart of your day. It was such an honor!
