Bill and Kaylee travel around the country touring with live shows. Think like Sesame Street live and Paw Patrol live. Fun right? So when I was living in New Mexico, I got an inquiry about a couple wanting to do an engagement session at Palo Duro Canyon. One of my favorite spots and a cool gem in west Texas. I was so excited for this shoot! They even wanted to incorporate traveling in with it buy bringing old suitcases and maps. I KNEW it would be a blast.
We hit it off. They were so fun to work with and we just enjoyed hanging out. I asked them where they were getting married and they said Pensacola Beach in April. I was SHOOK because I was moving back to Florida. Was it mean’t to be? I think so! So, I slipped in a, “hey, if you don’t have a photographer yet, I am actually moving to the area, I would love to be your wedding photographer too!” I think they wanted to see how their engagement photos turned out which they loved so, they hired me to shoot their Pensacola Beach wedding!
It was beautiful! Sunny, a little windy but no rain in the forecast so everyone was pumped! They each had their own beach house to get ready in. The ladies in one, the men in the other. They had their first look and were able to hang out with each other and have some drinks before they headed to their Pensacola Beach ceremony. Once we got there, the wind was blowing but there was hardly anyone on the beach. Score!
Kaylee’s grandpa officiated the wedding which was the perfect personal touch for this Pensacola Beach wedding. After the ceremony, we took some photos of the group and then guests left to head to Hemingway’s Island Grill. We then took wedding party photos and bride and groom photos before heading to the reception.
Hemingway’s Island Grill is the perfect place to host your Pensacola Beach wedding. It is still on the water so you can walk out to the beach at anytime, the space is open, and the food and drinks are wonderful. Everything you need to keep the beach vibes.
After dinner, Bill and Kaylee cut their cake and had cupcakes for the guests. They were so delicious. After, they headed to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Next, Bill danced with his mom then Kaylee danced with her dad and her grandpa. It was adorable. Then the dance floor got started! Drinks were flowing, Grandpa got down on the dance floor, and we had a blast.
