Craig and Clodagh had an intimate Ireland Castle Ruin Elopement that overlooked the Ireland country side. It was AMAZING. They had less than a handful of their closest people by their side to celebrate this dreamy day.
This location is the Rock of Dunamase, and just one of many castle ruins I’d highly recommend exploring right outside of Dublin! I actually spent a few weeks there, and covered some of my favorite elopement locations in a blog a few weeks ago! The Rock of Dunamase is just one of the best places I’d recommend for an Ireland Castle Ruin Elopement day. It’s the perfect place to get married with some history, beautiful views, and the greenery Ireland is known for. After their ceremony at the Castle, we ventured out to some of the overlooking paths for some breathtaking portraits of Craig and Clodagh. When I say a dream come true… I mean it. All in all, the weather was amazing, the views were breathtaking and the company was the best of the best.
An elopement in Ireland is truly a magical experience that combines the natural beauty of the Emerald Isle with the intimacy of a private ceremony. Here are some tips and ideas for an unforgettable Ireland elopement:
Ireland is full of stunning locations that are perfect for an elopement. From the rolling green hills of County Kerry to the dramatic cliffs of the Cliffs of Moher, there’s no shortage of breathtaking scenery to choose from. Consider what type of landscape and atmosphere you want for your elopement and choose a location that fits your vision.
Whether you’re a local or traveling from abroad, it’s important to plan ahead for your Ireland elopement. This includes researching the location, obtaining any necessary permits or permissions, and making arrangements for accommodations and transportation.
Your attire should be comfortable and appropriate for the location and climate. For a traditional Irish feel, consider wearing a kilt or tartan dress. If you’re eloping in the colder months, be sure to layer up and choose warm, waterproof attire.
Whether you have Irish heritage or not, incorporating traditional Irish elements into your elopement can add an authentic and meaningful touch. This could include incorporating Irish music, dance, or cuisine into your celebration. The couple below incorporated a Celtic tradition by having a handfasting ceremony.
Whether you choose to have a private ceremony or invite a small group of loved ones, the focus of your Ireland elopement should be on celebrating your love and commitment to each other. Take the time to enjoy the moment and create memories that will last a lifetime. I know some pretty epic spots and will always recommend my favorite town of Dingle to anyone traveling around Ireland.
All things considered, an elopement in Ireland is a truly unforgettable experience that combines the natural beauty of the Emerald Isle with the intimacy and romance of a private ceremony. With a little planning and attention to detail, your Ireland elopement can be the perfect way to start your new life together. Lets go to Ireland!
