Have you ever thought about getting married in Ireland? Maybe you want to have the Irish countryside elopement without going too far from the city? Consider this post your Ireland Elopement Guide! While there are SO many places that are beautiful to have an intimate ceremony these are some of my favorite places that are right outside of Dublin.
Starting off strong with the: Howth Cliffs
- Great for couples who want that epic cliff coastline and would love sunrise photos before the crowds come
- Perfect sunrise views over the bay
- 30 Minutes outside of Dublin and can take the DART
- Cliff views close to the city
- Over 10 miles of trails
- Cliff coast with yellow grouse with views of Lambay’s Island, Irelands Eye, and grand views
- The harbor town of Howth is the perfect place to grab a meal and watch the sunset
Next up we have, the Wicklow Mountains
- Perfect for couples with an adventurous spirit
- Known as the Garden of Ireland
- Spectacular backdrops throughout the area
- 30 minutes to an hour outside of Dublin
- Option for lake views, mountain backgrounds, beautiful valleys or church ruins
- Romantic and intimate feels with the perfect Irish setting
It wouldn’t be an Ireland Elopement Guide without Castle Ruins! Specifically, The Rock of Dunamase:
- An hour outside of Dublin
- Castle ruin surrounded by lush green grass
- Most of the castle walls date back to the 12th and 13th centuries
- This castle ruin is perched high on a hilltop which makes it perfect for sunset photos
- Spectacular views of Irish countryside
- Sort of place you dream about when you think an Irish Elopement
